Mutual respect and fair pay are among our highest priorities.
Women make up the majority not only of textile consumers but also of those working in textile production. Many of them face difficult working conditions and earn wages that are insufficient to cover their living expenses. Social security and maternity protection are often inadequate. At MANDALA, it is important to us to provide fair working conditions for everyone involved in production. Our GOTS-certified production facilities meet the social requirements for working conditions and remuneration set out in the standard.
Feminism should not end at the borders of the Western world, but should be put into practice especially where women need support the most. A T-shirt priced at €5 cannot provide a living wage. That is why we calculate our prices with fair working conditions and responsible production in mind.
